Valentin Joste (doctoral student – Paris Cité University, IRD, MERIT) and the teams atUMR MERIT 261 and National Malaria Reference Center published in the journal The Lancet Microbe in April 2024 un article relating to resistance to pyrimethamine of Plasmodium ovale curtisi et Plasmodium ovale wallikeri. This study on two of the species responsible for malaria represents a significant step forward for better control of this parasite.
